Soft skills are those personal attributes that enhance an individual’s interactions, job performance and career prospects. Unlike hard skills, which are about a person’s skill set and ability to perform a certain type of physical task or activity, soft skills are interpersonal and broadly applicable.
Soft skills are often described by using terms often associated with personality traits, such as:

It’s often said that hard skills will get you an interview but
you need soft skills to get (and keep) the job. Soft skills, in a nutshell, are all about how people:

  • Act in the proximity other people, in the workplace or socially
  • Interact with other people, physically (with your body language), verbally with what you say and how you say it, and even in their hygiene and deportment
  • React to situations, meetings (one on one or group), bad/good news, under stress, humor or to other people in general.
